week14-Wikipedia Editing and Translating Book Titles-xiongchaoli
This week, I learned more about images and media files on Wikipedia. Before this course, I thought adding images to an article would be quite simple, but I found that there are many rules related to copyright and licensing.
One thing that surprised me is that not every image found online can be uploaded to Wikipedia. Editors need to know where the image comes from and whether it can legally be shared. This is more complicated than I expected.
I think these rules are important because they protect the rights of creators. At the same time, they also make me realize that contributing to Wikipedia involves more than just writing text.
