Week 7 : Wikipedia First Article Translation. - Jang Eun Seok

 At first, I've decided to translate two article "Global catastrophic risk", and "Apocalyptic literature." So, in week 7, I completed translate "Global catastrophic risk" in korean. 

 I was taking class "Media trend and Globalization" last year, so I know how to work with wikipedia, but it's still dificult to use entire wikipedia's fuction. Especially, during the translation process, there were templates in English Wikipedia that did not exist in Korean Wikipedia, so it took a long time to recreate the pages using the most similar templates possible.

It seems that the names and functions of templates differ quite a bit across different language versions of Wikipedia, so I wondered if it would be helpful to have a feature or an article that integrates them into one system, and I was curious about what others think.

    I found your blog very interesting because it clearly explained your experience writing your first Wikipedia article. I could understand the challenges you faced while organizing information and finding reliable references.

    I also agree that editing Wikipedia requires patience and careful attention to detail. Your reflection showed how much effort goes into creating a well-structured article. After reading your post, I learned more about the importance of collaboration and responsibility in Wikipedia editing.

WEEK2— WANG SIWEN

During this week, I made 15 edits on Wikipedia and also created a new personal sandbox. Most of my edits focused on adding new content and translating information between different language versions of articles. Through this process, I tried to make the content clearer and more accessible to readers from different language backgrounds. In addition, I created a new sandbox to practice editing and organize my ideas before publishing them on the main article pages. The sandbox allowed me to test formatting and translation structures more carefully, which helped me avoid mistakes in public articles. WEEK2 ——edits on Wikipedia

During this week, I made several edits on Wikipedia. My main work was adding citations to some sentences that lacked sources in order to improve the reliability of the article content. For example, I added citations from gaming media websites for descriptions of the influence of characters in the Resident Evil series, and also supplemented official sources for the feature introduction of the Origin platform.
